Terms

These are the basic rules for using Wordmate. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

What Wordmate does

Wordmate is a free macOS voice-typing app. It records when you trigger it, turns speech into text on your Mac, and copies or pastes the result. Transcription can be wrong, so check important text before you send or rely on it.

Using the app

You may install and use Wordmate for lawful personal or business use. Please do not use it to violate someone else's rights or to disrupt the app, website, downloads, or update service. You are responsible for what you record and where you paste the output.

What is open source

The public Wordmate transcription pipeline is open-sourced and third-party open-source components are covered by their own licenses. Those licenses do not grant rights to the Wordmate name, app interface, branding, or website.

Availability and liability

Wordmate is provided "as is." We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, including loss caused by a transcription error. Nothing here limits rights or liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes

We may update the app or these terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, stop using Wordmate.
